Video Game Music You Will Recognise
Today video game soundtracks are growing more and more popular, and not just with fans of the games that feature them. These days many games have full orchestral scores, these often accompanied by a decent dose of popular music (for example The Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil in the recently released Call of Duty Black Ops). Sometimes people's musical tastes are surprising (video game-related or otherwise). The World of Warcraft soundtrack, for example, is surprisingly popular with MMO fans and beyond; no doubt WoW Cataclysm is going to lure in a lot of new fans following its release.
There are some video game soundtracks, however, that you can't help but recognise. On that note (see what I did there?), here are a few of the most famous.
Sonic the Hedgehog
Pure, super speed perfection. Sonic 2 or 3 probably had, in my humble opinion, the best music (and did you know that Michael Jackson allegedly lent his talent to composing the latter?). However, I would mind never hearing the infamous drowning theme again.
Super Mario Bros
Koji Kondo is the composer responsible for the six song musical score for Super Mario Bros, the tempo of the music increasing when the timer reaches 99. The iconic track found in the first stage is known as the "Ground Theme", and has a Latin rhythm.
Tetris
Better known as "Korobeiniki", the so-called Tetris theme was originally written and published in 1816, 128 years before Tetris saw its Game Boy release. Originally a Russian folk song, it tells the story of the young lovers Katya, a peasant girl, and a peddler (the meaning of the song's title).
However, if these classics aren't your thing then you can always be one of those who invest in the soundtrack of World of Warcraft Cataclysm. It's sure to be epic!

Frequently Asked Questions...
Can I save progress on Super Mario Bros for the NES?
I bought an original NES and was wondering if I can save my progress on Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and/or 3? I know some game cartridges had a battery inside for saving, but do these have that option?
Answer:
NO you cant if you are talking about playing the original cartridge on the nes. If you have a Wii and have downloaded it then YES you can make a save point. but here is something most people dont remember
LEVEL WARP SECRET
play through the game until you get to the last pipe tube in WORLD 1-2. (its the one that takes you to the surface) there will be elevators going down and you have to do a running jump to catch the elevator at a fairly high point and keep running after landing on the elevator and jump again to reach the "ceiling" if you do it correctly you should have jumped on top of the games ceiling where you can now proceed to the right past the tube below and there will be a room with 3 pipes that you can use to warp to those worlds. I forgot which worlds they take you to but I know one of them takes you to world 8. Its an easy thing to do so give it a shot!
